London, June 30 (ANI): Actor Antonio Banderas has laughed off Madonna’s two-year crush on him.

The ‘Queen of Pop’ disclosed her crush in her 1991 documentary film, ‘In Bed With Madonna’, after meeting the Spanish actor.

But, much to her dismay, the feelings were not reciprocated.

‘Yeah, she says these things – she didn’t repeat it to me; it could have been dangerous, depending on how I would have been that day!’ the Mirror quoted him as saying.

‘Nothing happened – never ever,’ he insisted.

Antonio – who later starred in ‘Evita’ with Madonna – is still surprised that he made headlines for catching her eye. (ANI)

London, June 30 (ANI): ‘Iron Man’ star Gwyneth Paltrow is said to have snubbed Queen of Pop Madonna at a recent fashion bash.

Paltrow, 37, had earlier denied that she has fallen out Madonna, who is her long-time friend.

But last week, the actress was seen doing her best to avoid the singer.

“It was really awkward. Madonna was hanging around but it was clear Gwyneth didn’t want anything to do with her,” the Sun quoted a source as saying. (ANI)

London, June 30 (IANS) Hollywood actor Brad Pitt is not making a movie on the Gulf of Mexico oil spill, says his representative.

Gallons of oil have been spilling into the sea off the coast of Louisiana since the rig ruptured, with officials of British oil company BP desperately trying to find a solution to stem the leak.

The “Ocean’s Eleven” actor was reportedly planning to make a film on the crisis. However, Pitt’s representative insisted they “have heard nothing about this”, reports orange.co.uk.

London, June 29 (IANS) Actress Angelina Jolie says she feels safe “growing old” with her partner Brad Pitt.

Jolie has been dating Pitt since 2005 and has no plans to marry.

“I feel fortunate to have a relationship where I actually feel safe enough to imagine growing old together. (We’re not) against getting married (but) it’s just like we already are. Children are clearly a commitment, a bigger commitment (than marriage). It’s for life,” contactmusic.com quoted Jolie as saying.

The couple is raising six children.

Commenting upon why they dropped out of “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” sequel plans, she said: “People have tried. And it’s strange: do we have kids in the movie? “We did ask somebody to look into Mr. & Mrs. to see if they could crack a sequel, but there wasn’t anything original. It was just, well, they’re going to get married, or they’ve got kids, or they get separated. Never great.”

New York, June 29 (ANI): American actress Angelina Jolie’s top priority is to protect the orphaned children in Haiti, it has been revealed.

Jolie returned to the SOS Village in Santo, Haiti, outside of Port-au-Prince to evaluate the progress made since she last visited the village more than six months ago.

A 7.0-magnitude earthquake struck Haiti in January 2010.

“One of Angelina’s highest priorities is protecting children without family; she was there to meet with Haitian officials to try and figure out solutions,” Heather Paul, CEO of SOS Children’s Villages said.

SOS Children’s Villages is an organization that provides housing and long-term care for orphaned or abandoned children in 132 countries worldwide.

Both Jolie and her partner, Brad Pitt, have been longtime supporters of SOS, and the Beowulf star has visited an SOS Emergency Relief Program in Chad, an SOS Children’s Village in Ethiopia, and the couple also went to the SOS Village in Amman, Jordan, reports Fox News.

“The children are out of their minds. They love her, she’s very hands on and spends time with them and that means a great deal,” Paul said.

“Haiti is a hard place right now, our villages are overcrowded. We have 500 children instead of 200 children who are without parental care with us at the moment. We have 800 children in our school in the SOS village, so there are a lot of challenges. But just to have Angelina there recognizing these challenges really brings everybody up. London, June 29 (IANS) Megan fox has married her longtime beau Brian Austin Green at Four Seasons Hualalai Resort in Hawaii.

The “Transformer” star, who was holidaying with Green in Hawaii for some time, extended the vacation to exchanged vows with her on-off partner of six years. They tied the knot Sunday, reports contactmusic.com.

“They had a fairly large wedding, but there were clearly more security people than guests. They had to call in local security because the hotel security alone wouldn’t do. It was very hush hush. Everyone was sworn to secrecy,” said a source.

“It seemed like a spur of the moment thing. I don’t think it had been planned long,” the source added.

It is the first wedding for both stars. The couple called off their original plans to marry in February last year after a two-year engagement, but reunited months later.

London, June 29 (ANI): Guy Ritchie has revealed that he will shoot the sequel to his Sherlock Holmes adventure in 3D.

Madonna’s ex-husband is making a script that will make the most of the new craze for the technique, inspired by Avatar and Up.

Ritchie is even hiring some of the crew who worked on James Cameron’s Avatar to administer the 3D effects.

‘You can’t help feeling that 3D is now being used on any old film as a gimmick. But when it is planned from the start, rather than bolted on later, the results can be spectacular,’ the Sun quoted Ritchie as saying.

‘I was a big fan of the first Sherlock Holmes, starring Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law,’ he added. (ANI)

Jolie even said that their children are big enough commitment than marriage.

The star admitted that she and her partner Brad Pitt, with whom she raises six children, are willing to have more kids but both want to make sure that every member of the family has ‘special time’.

‘We’re not opposed to it (having more children)… but we want to make sure we can give everybody special time,’ News.com.au quoted Jolie as telling Vanity Fair magazine.

‘They’re kids now, and can play together, but they’re going to need a lot more talking in the middle of the night, like I did with my mom for hours.

The Salt actress – who has six children with husband Brad Pitt – said that she wants her eldest biological child to embrace her tomboy style.

‘She wants to be a boy. So we had to cut her hair. She likes to wear boys’ everything. She thinks she’s one of the brothers,’ the Daily Telegraph quoted Jolie as telling Vanity Fair magazine.

Apparently coining a new fashion term, she said: ‘Shiloh, we feel, has Montenegro style.’

‘She dresses like a little dude. It’s how people dress there. She likes tracksuits, she likes [regular] suits,’ Jolie added.

Moreover, Jolie isn’t worried and said that she sees much of her creative self in her daughter.

London, June 28 (IANS) English actor and Angelina Jolie’s ex-husband Jonny Lee Miller has landed a killer new role in TV thriller “Dexter”.

Miller will join Julia Stiles and “The Commitments” star Maria Doyle Kennedy for the fifth season of the hit drama, which stars Michael C. Hall as a good guy serial killer, reports express.co.uk.

However, details about the characters the trio will be playing are being kept under lock and key.

Los Angeles, June 28 (IANS) Hollywood actor Mel Gibson’s former partner Oksana Grigorieva branded him “cruel”, accusing him of failing to pay for the maintenance of their daughter, Lucia.

Gibson split from Grigorieva, the mother of his seven-month-old child, earlier this year and the former couple is said to be embroiled in a battle over visitation rights.

The Russian singer claims Gibson is not paying her “a penny” towards the upkeep of their daughter and she is “having to live on credit cards”, reports imdb.com.

“He is not paying me a penny. Nothing. There are so many lies being said about me. I was trying to keep things dignified and be respectful to the father of my daughter, but what he is doing is cruelty. I am having to live on credit cards and borrowed money. It is not a good situation,” she said.

“We were together for three years. So much that is being put out there is wrong. He didn’t dump me, I left him. I rescued my children and myself,” she added.

London, June 27 (IANS) Hollywood actress Megan Fox dreams of being a part of a remake of cult movie “The Lost Boys”, but also fears the new version could “destroy” the original.

The “Jonah Hex” actress is a huge fan of the 1987 comedy horror film, which starred Kiefer Sutherland, Corey Feldman and the late Corey Haim.

“They couldn’t remake it because it would destroy it, but I’ve always loved ‘The Lost Boys’. The female character in it is not really amazing, but if you were to turn one of the male characters into a female, I would love to do that,” contactmusic.com quoted Fox as saying.

“That movie has stuck with me my whole life. There’s something magic about it for me,” she said.

Fox says she is reluctant to do more romantic comedies as she doesn’t feel old enough yet.

“I’m wary of doing romantic comedies, you could end up doing them all the time. Business-wise, those movies are very safe. But I’m 24, I don’t belong in a romantic comedy yet. A black comedy like ‘Jennifer’s Body’ maybe, but I don’t know if I could do something like ‘The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants’,” she added.

After holding hosts Germany to a draw in their opening fixture Friday, the Indian women failed to get their act together against World No.5 Australia, for whom 29-year-old striker Megan Rivers struck four goals, including a hat-trick, to give her country a 3-1 lead at half time.

Rivers converted a penalty corner in the 20th minute before striking goals at the 22nd, 37th and 51st minutes. Nicole Arrold (7th minute, penalty corner) and Madonna Blyth (49th minute) were other goal scorers for Australia.

For India, Deepika Thakur (18th minute, penalty corner) and Saba Anjum (46th minute) were on target.

London, June 27 (ANI): Michael Jackson’s father has failed in his bid to file a wrongful death lawsuit against his son’s doctor on the anniversary of the King of Pop’s death – because of a mistake in the paperwork.

According to TMZ.com, Joe Jackson’s lawyer Brian Oxman filed documents against Dr. Conrad Murray in federal court on Friday (25Jun10), seeking unspecified damages in connection with his son’s death.

But the suit was returned because or an error and it will now have to be refilled, reports the Daily Star.

In the complaint, Joe alleges Murray withheld vital information from the doctors and emergency service operatives who were trying to save Michael’s life. (ANI)

Los Angeles, June 27 (IANS) Mel Gibson reportedly got violent with ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva during their confrontation and even knocked her teeth out.

People close to Gibson have told TMZ that the actor did not get violent with Oksana during their Jan 6 confrontation, although they admit things did get physical.

A source close to Oksana, however, says: “Mel and his camp are spinning the facts in a desperate attempt to protect his reputation.”

Sources in the 40-year-old Russian musician’s camp say Gibson’s people are lying when they say she shook the baby. Instead, the sources say: “She tried to protect the baby during one of Gibson’s violent episodes when he punched Oksana in the face two times, breaking her teeth and giving her a concussion.”

As one source put it: “She tried to protect his reputation, despite her fears of him and his verbal and physical abuse. She regrets having believed in his empty promises to obtain professional help to control his violent nature.”

Oksana obtained a restraining order against Gibson last Monday, which prohibits him from coming within 100 yards of her.

Her attorneys would not comment about the case, but did say: “The true facts will be brought out in a court of law. Oksana will continue to abide by the ethical obligations and rules arising from a confidential paternity action and will let the court decide the issue in this matter.”
